Mission Statement
The mission of the Chimes Retreat is to connect incoming freshmen and transfer students to local churches and ministries in Tuscaloosa and encourage them to faithfully walk with Christ in college.
why the chimes?
The Chimes Retreat is a weekend retreat that connects you to upperclassmen leaders, introduces you to new friends, and provides opportunities to find a church in Tuscaloosa before you start fall classes.
Whether starting your college career or transferring from another university, we want to help you connect with a Christian community and provide you with resources to grow spiritually.

Main Sessions
These are opportunities for you to learn, grow, and worship alongside one another while hearing from different ministers and church homes in the Tuscaloosa area.
Family Groups
Our hope is that your family group gives you a chance to be known and heard on a smaller scale. Time to hear where other people in this same season are coming from and how those a few years ahead of you have learned and grown during their college years.
Ministry Fair
We want to give you the opportunity to meet the local
churches and campus ministries before even getting to campus!
Community
The Chimes is a place for you to meet new people who are walking into the same season you are! Our hope is that through games, meals, sessions, and just time together you leave with friends that last throughout your time in Tuscaloosa.

The Chimes Retreat is a three day, two night retreat where students are introduced to the body of Christ in Tuscaloosa. We want to be a avenue through which students can establish godly friendships, find community who will encourage each other to pursue their faith well in college, and ultimately be a retreat that makes the name of Jesus known! We invite you to come join in on the fun, worship, many spikeball games, and the work that God is doing through Chimes!
