"I have seen how the Lord continues to use The Chimes Retreat in so many incredible ways to accomplish his will and build his kingdom in Tuscaloosa! This will be my third year serving with Chimes, and I cannot wait to see how God will work through the retreat and through the lives of the incoming freshmen! Serving with The Chimes Retreat is always such a blessing; showing the freshmen the love of Christ, helping them find a local church home, and just having fun with them are a few reasons why I continue to serve with this awesome ministry each year!"

"As an upperclassman Chimes helps to connect you to freshman coming to campus that will be visiting our churches and looking for community. We have the opportunity to welcome them to Tuscaloosa before they even get to campus and potentially have an impact that can affect someones college career, and their lives after college!"

"God has connected me to so many people through Chimes- best friends and spiritual mentors. I wouldn't be where I'm at without going through Chimes Retreat. I have had the privilege to serve as a counselor and to see other freshman have similar experiences. I felt God calling me to make time for Him this summer, and to  continue paying it forward, giving that experience to another year of students!" 

"The Chimes retreat was instrumental in setting up my entire college experience to be focused upon the Lord. All my fears about college vanished at the Chimes Retreat when I met other believers who would be walking through this phase of life with me and as I got to see what incredible church community is in Tuscaloosa. Chimes is where I met my first and best friends in college who have a heart for the Lord like no other. The Chimes Retreat was total immersion into encouragement, joy, FUN, and instruction for a lifestyle of worship while in college. My hope is for these upcoming freshmen to experience the same adoration I have for Chimes Retreat and our amazing God!!!"

"The Chimes Retreat has been used to do lots of good in Tuscaloosa. As an incoming Freshman the Lord used Chimes to introduce me to some great community. I loved being a counselor my Sophomore year, welcoming in new students and serving alongside current ones. I chose to do Chimes Leadership this year because I believe the Lord will continue using this ministry to impact students' lives and grow biblical community in Tuscaloosa. Getting to be a part of that is a blessing!"

Chimes bridges the difficulty of trying to find a church home while encountering all the craziness of the first year of college at Alabama, by bringing the encounter to students before everything hits.The more I learned about Chimes over the last two years, the more I knew I wanted to be involved! "The Chimes Retreat holds a special place in my college testimony- as a freshman, Chimes met me in one of the most challenging seasons of life and reminded me what it means to pursue Jesus continually. Chimes equips staff and freshman to step into the Great Commission, and to enter into college seeking the Kingdom! It is truly a family, in that it brings together Christian community in Tuscaloosa  - No person will leave Chimes a stranger and as we go forth we get to bring others into the faith communities that we plant ourselves in!
